How Often Should Weeds Be Removed In New Mexico?

There's no single right answer, but for most central-NM gravel yards the math is clearer than people think.

Once a month

Best for: homeowners who want the yard to always look good, rental property owners, and anyone in an HOA. One visit a month keeps the seed load low year over year, and most clients on it never need another big reset.

Twice a month

Best for: growing season and monsoon regrowth, larger lots, and yards with a goathead problem. Two visits a month means weeds never flower and drop seed, which is the only thing that actually breaks the cycle.

Annual reset only

Works for: low-growth xeriscape yards or homeowners willing to live with weeds for most of the year. Total cost ends up close to a plan anyway, because annual resets are usually heavy-overgrowth pricing.

The honest recommendation

For most Rio Rancho and Albuquerque homeowners, once a month is the sweet spot, stepped up to twice a month through the growing season. Text us photos at 505-463-9040 and we'll tell you what cadence we'd actually recommend for your specific yard.
